Reflecting on the profile of the 21st-century learner, the significant role of the municipal corporation in decision-making and problem solving, and the importance for students to get a fulsome understanding of its functions triggered one essential question that I recorded in my visitation logbook: Are we really preparing teachers for the 21st-century classroom?
