A unique publishing experience
The Worthy Educator Press works with education practitioners to get their written work published. We support you in optimizing your author's voice, leading you through the editing and revision processes, providing layout, graphic design and formatting services, getting your book on shelves and in the edusphere in less than one-quarter of the time it takes with commercial publishers.
The Worthy Educator created a space where I can write, reflect, and explore ideas about leadership in ways that feel authentic to my experiences. Walter is responsive, talented, and deeply supportive of the writers he works with. What mattered most was not simply publishing a piece. It was having encouragement to share ideas and trusting they might resonate with others. Many educators have powerful insights from their work, but without the encouragement to share them, those voices often remain unheard. Sometimes all a writer needs is an invitation, a place to start, and encouragement to keep going. I am grateful that The Worthy Educator gave me that opportunity. -Dr. Andy Szeto

Working with The Worthy Educator Press is a distinctly affirming and empowering experience. From the outset, their process made it clear that my voice, professional experiences, and hard-earned expertise were not only respected but central to the work itself. Rather than reshaping my ideas to fit a mold, their editorial approach elevated and clarified my perspective, ensuring the final product remained authentically mine. That level of intentionality matters—especially in education, where credibility and lived experience are inseparable from impact. The result is a publication that feels both deeply personal and broadly relevant, something I’m proud to share with other educators, as part of myself. -Dr. Leigh Reagan Alley

Creating School Seasons xSELeratED with Walter and Leigh transformed my understanding of what's possible when we move from ME to WE - when brilliant minds unite around our shared commitment to making education more human, more healing, and more whole. This isn't just a book we wrote together; it's a testament to the power of authentic collaboration and the magic that happens when educators dare to bring their full selves to the work that matters most. -Heather Lageman

As a service of The Worthy Educator, we are not publishing as a for-profit enterprise. We professionally produce a few select books a year to elevate and amplify the work of dreamers and doers who are ready to share their story. Whether you are looking for a positive, supportive first-time publishing experience, or you are a veteran published author who is simply tired of getting the run-around from big publishing houses, you will be happy here.
We are honored to receive your manuscript, should you choose The Worthy Educator Press, and you will find the entire experience to be a highly rewarding, iterative process where you are treated with the respect and attention you and your work deserve.
Working with The Worthy Educator Press is one of the most affirming creative partnerships of my career. From the very first conversations, I felt they understood not only the manuscript itself but the deeper purpose behind it. Their sage guidance through the review, editing, and design process was both thoughtful and respectful, always strengthening the work while preserving its voice and integrity. At every stage—from shaping the narrative flow to

the look and feel of the book, they helped turn a long-held vision into something even richer and more fully realized than I imagined.
Just as important is their spirit of the collaboration, responsiveness, encouragement, and big-picture thinking that make the entire process feel not at all like a transaction and but like a shared mission to bring meaningful ideas into the world. I always felt that the book mattered to them personally, and that sense of care and partnership made all the difference. Having now worked with three publishers, I can say that Walter McKenzie brings a rare combination of editorial insight, vision, and generosity to the publishing process. I’m deeply grateful for the professionalism, creativity, and generosity your team brought to the journey, and I’m proud to be part of The Worthy Educator community. -Stuart Grauer, Ed.D.
