I have dedicated my career to creating vibrant and engaging learning environments where every student can thrive. It is my mission to bring the transformative power of the arts into ALL classrooms everywhere.

As an award-winning educator, consultant, author, and speaker, I am passionate about using arts integration to enhance learning across all subjects. Programs like Party in the Art Room and Artful Literacy Centers are at the core of my work, providing both general education and art teachers with the tools and training they need to foster creativity, critical thinking, and a genuine love for learning in their students.

I believe every child deserves a nurturing and inspiring educational experience, guided by exceptional educators. By integrating the arts, we can create dynamic, inclusive classrooms that celebrate each child's unique brilliance and potential.

My work focuses on:

- Academic Standards: Ensuring that arts integration aligns with and enhances academic standards across all subjects, not just the arts.

- School Climate and Culture: Promoting a positive and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued and supported.

- Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Through the Arts: Empowering students to develop emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience through creative activities.

 

For centuries, artists have led and fueled revolutions. Things don’t improve unless artists are involved. And so, if an educator is serious about positive change and equity, they have to embrace the arts.
