We're Excited to Announce our Winner!
It is an honor to announce that the winner of our Christmas Beach House Giveaway is Elissa Andrade, an Instructional Specialist for the Department of Systemwide Equity in the Montgomery County Public Schools in Rockville, Maryland! Elissa is a career educator who has served as an elementary and middle school special education teacher, consulting teacher, and innovative support teacher in schools in suburban Washington, D.C. and in Miami, Florida!
In being notified of her winning, Elissa shared, "I’m absolutely thrilled to have won this generous prize! My husband, son, and daughter are so excited for the getaway—and our English bulldog, Zelda, can’t wait to enjoy the sand, too. This vacation couldn’t come at a more perfect time, as I’ll be wrapping up my semester in graduate school and heading into the holiday season. It truly means so much to our family, and we’re deeply grateful for this wonderful opportunity!"
We congratulate Elissa on winning the drawing, and we know she and her family will make many wonderful memories this Christmas at our beachfront cottage!
The beach house is on a secluded stretch of South Nags Head, with three bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen and living room, upper and lower decks for beach watching and barbecuing, and a brand new stair walkway from the private deck to the beach! It's less than ten minutes from shopping, restaurants and attractions, and off-season so it's free from the hustle and bustle of tourism. Just our winner and the locals celebrating the holidays at the beach. It's a true getaway from the cares of everyday life!
The Worthy Educator offered this prize of Christmas week 2025 at a beachfront cottage on the Outer Banks of North Carolina to a Worthy Educator participating in three or more activities by October 28, 2025. There was no cost to participate
