Grateful for the Early Believers

November is Gratitude Month at The Worthy Educator!
As we move into this season of gratitude, I’ve been thinking a lot about how Autonome came to life, and the people who made it possible.
When I first started building Autonome, I had a vision of helping students strengthen their emotional wellbeing, resilience, and readiness for life beyond high school. But a vision can only go so far. To make my vision become a reality took people who were willing to see something new, to take a chance, and to trust.
I’m so deeply grateful for my early adopters who did just that:
I am grateful to the administrators who believed in the mission and opened the door for Autonome to enter their schools. Thank you for your trust and for helping smooth the way with collaboration and confidence.
I am grateful to the teachers who already had so much on their plates. Thank you for welcoming this program with curiosity and openness, for trying something new, and for guiding students through it with such care and heart.
And to the students, thank you for showing up with honesty, energy, and engagement. Welcoming me into your classrooms, seeing you connect with the lessons and make them your own, has been the most rewarding part of all.
Without the open mindset of administrators who were willing to take a chance, teachers who were ready to explore, and students who were eager to grow, Autonome wouldn’t have gotten off the ground!

For those who may not yet know, Autonome is a student-centered program designed to build emotional wellness, resilience, and life readiness skills. It is being used in secondary school settings from special education to AP Science classes and across educational domains with flexible models, from advisory to academic classes. Our mission is to equip students with the protective skills they need to thrive, both in school and beyond.
If you are a school leader, administrator, educator, or counselor aiming to create a culture where students are engaged, resilient, and prepared for life, and where teachers feel empowered to guide them in meaningful ways beyond academics, I’d love to connect with you. Join our growing community of schools, see Autonome in action, and together we can give students the tools and confidence to succeed in life.
So from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Thank you for seeing the value in Autonome, for welcoming it into your classrooms, and for inviting me into your schools to witness the impact firsthand.
Your belief has fueled my inspiration to keep growing this work and to continue helping as many students as I possibly can to build the skills and confidence to thrive.
With deep gratitude,
